埃及天然气日产量上升至7亿立方英尺

据9月2日路透社开罗报道，埃及石油部一名高级官员周一告诉路透社，埃及天然气产量从6月底的每日6.8亿立方英尺上升至每日70亿立方英尺。

运营商埃尼斯帕4月份表示，埃及Zohr油田(地中海最大的油田)的天然气产量已升至每日27亿立方英尺，比其开发计划提前了约5个月。

埃及希望利用其战略位置和现有基础设施将自己定位为地中海能源中心。它宣布到2018年底已经实现天然气自给自足。

Egypt's natural gas production rose to 7 billion cubic feet (bcf) per day from a level of 6.8 bcf per day at the end of June, a senior petroleum ministry official told Reuters align="justify">Natural gas production at Egypt's Zohr field, the largest in the Mediterranean, had risen to 2.7 bcf per day, around five months ahead of its development plan, operator Eni SpA said in August.

Egypt hopes to leverage its strategic location and existing infrastructure to position itself as a Mediterranean energy hub. It announced that it had become self-sufficient in natural gas at the end of 2018.
