美国现货丙烯价格跌至3年来低点

据全球石化新闻2019年12月5日休斯顿报道，美国聚合物级丙烯现货价格周四（5日）下跌了1.25美分，下跌到了3年多来的最低水平，市场消息人士把现货丙烯价格下跌原因归咎于下游的供过于求和需求疲软。

统计数据显示，现货聚合物级丙烯价格周四被评估为每磅29.25美分FD USG，而最近一次下跌是在2016年3月4日，当时被评估为每磅28.75美分FD USG。

消息人士称，下游聚丙烯需求的减弱导致了丙烯供过于求，从而导致了现货聚合物级丙烯价格的下跌。

一位贸易消息人士表示：“裂化装置和精炼厂的开工率还不错，所以供应增加了，(套利)已经关闭一段时间了。”

消息人士还谈到了在11月27日TPC在内奇斯港口发生爆炸后下游环氧丙烷的生产问题。

统计数据显示，现货聚合物级丙烯价格自11月27日以来已下跌了近9%。

US spot propylene drops to three-year low

US spot polymer-grade propylene prices fell 1.25 cents Thursday to hit their lowest level in more than three years, with market sources attributing the drop to downstream oversupply and weakening demand.

Spot PGP was assessed Thursday at 29.25 cents/lb FD USG and was last lower align="justify">Sources said the weaker downstream polypropylene demand has contributed to an oversupply of propylene and consequently weaker pricing.

"Operating rates at crackers and refineries are decent so supply is up, [arbitrage] has been shut for some time," said align="justify">Sources also talked about unconfirmed production issues for downstream propylene oxide following TPC's explosion align="justify">Spot PGP has fallen nearly 9% since November 27, according to data.

Market expectations for December propylene contract settlements call for a drop of 3.5-4.5 cents/lb.
