康纳收购彭格罗斯提高重油生产商地位

据油气在线1月7日报道，北美私募股权公司Waterous Energy Fund (WEF)的投资组合公司，位于加拿大阿尔伯塔省的康纳资源有限公司（Cona Resources Ltd.，Alberta）宣布，该公司以7.4亿加元收购卡尔加里的彭格罗斯能源公司（Pengrowth Energy Corp.，Calgary），成为北美最大的民营重油生产商，重油日产量达到3.5万桶。

康纳公司根据阿尔伯塔省的《商业公司法》，通过一系列安排完成了对该公司的收购。

2019年3月，彭格罗斯公司报告指出，2018年第四季度净亏损5.03亿加元后，开始对公司进行战略评估。当时，该公司报告的石油和天然气探明概算储量为4.465亿桶油当量。2018年最后3个月的石油和天然气日均产量为24104桶油当量。

Cona adds to heavy oil producer status with Pengrowth acquisition

Cona Resources Ltd., Alberta, a portfolio company of Waterous Energy Fund (WEF), closed align="justify">Cona acquired the company by way of a plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta).

In March 2019, Pengrowth began a strategic review of the company after reporting a fourth-quarter 2018 net loss of $503 million(Can.). At that time, the company reported proved and probable reserves of 446.5 million boe of oil and natural gas. Its average production in the last 3 months of 2018 was 24,104 boe/d of oil and gas.

For Cona , the acquisition enhances its “long life, low-decline asset base and adds a trophy asset in Pengrowth's Lindbergh oil property in the Cold Lake area of Alberta,” said Adam Waterous, founder and chief executive officer of Waterous Energy Fund.
