Oil Strainer

An oil strainer installed upstream of the pump prevents large debris from entering the pump and damaging it. Ariel supplies a 30 mesh (595 microns) strainer on all JG:A:R:J:W:M:N:P:Q:H:E:K:T compressors, and a 40 mesh (400 microns) strainer on all JGC:D:B:V:Z:U and KBB:V:Z:U compressors. It is located on the auxiliary end of the crankcase below oil level. For dry sump frames, the lube oil strainer ships uninstalled from the factory, and the packager installs it in the piping.
